Stained Glass Project
During the design process of the Church rebuild project in 1998, the idea of including historical significant artwork was proposed. Through a process of idea submissions from the youth of the congregation names of twelve (12) African American and international heroes were suggested along with eight (8) liturgical themes. Each youth had to do an extensive report or biography on each hero and the best of the lot were chosen from this contest. Additionally, a six-foot diameter panel depicting a dove of peace was requested as well, netting a total of twenty-one panels.

Maria Stolz, Artist
Dec. 1, 1949 - April 14, 2017
Howard Lake, Minnesota
Maria Stolz was an incredible woman who mastered anything she tried; she truly was a renaissance woman. She was a coloratura classical soloist in multiple choirs, an amazing stained-glass artist, an avid participant in local politics, a Jewish Chaplin at the local Catholic Hospital, and later worked as a Marriage Family Therapist helping many in need.
Although she had an abundance of accomplishments, she would say her greatest achievement was raising her three wonderful children: Moana Lua, Asher and Liliapua Stolz with her soul mate and loving husband Howard Stolz. She is survived by her husband, three children and five grandchildren: Destiny, Brayden, Bryce, Kaleo and Anuhea.
